HI!
I sure hope you're doing well. Remember that break I needed? Well, I got it!
It was simple. I dropped my little guy off at Arctic Adventures at Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay.

Such a big guy! I went in with him, of course, but I just love this shot of him walking toward the classic arch. I took a pic last summer and will probably do it each time he goes.
Then I drove to my friends' place in Ishpy and just listened to them talk. Haha! I didn't bring my computer, so I couldn't do work (although I was compelled). I didn't look at one lick of social media in any form. And I got to go snow boarding for the first time in two years. Oooh, that was fun!
So when I got back to work on Monday, I was raring to go! It was amazing!
But by last Wednesday I had a sick kid. Until today. Still today, my little guy is home. Oh, that's hard on a work-from-home mama, but things could be worse. I can still piece things together when I get a pocket of time. Like right now. You're welcome.
But we get to do lots of things that he likes. Here is one of his favorites.

We set up the "regular animals" in a "diorama" so they are each in their habitat and with their families. I can't tell you how many times he's done this, but sometimes I do it with him. He loves it. Kind of nerdy but also charming. He loooooooooves animals.
Here is another thing we both love.

Going for a walk with the sled. Whoever his "helper" is at the time, they get to come with. In this picture it was Girl the cat. Today it was Guinea Pig.
Let me tell you, that sled thing helps keep him on track. Either he feels purposeful pulling it himself, or I'm pulling him down the road. It really helps keep things moving.
Last I checked the Keweenaw Snowfall Totals, we just broke 200 inches for this season. That's all I'm going to say about that. Ha! The snow scoop and I are still friends.
If you're a fan of our podcast, the last episode was with a revolutionary doctor from The Bahamas. You can meet Brunee Dorsett in this interview. I love listening to her talk. I think it's a combination of her calm, her wisdom and her Caribbean accent.
I will leave it at that for now. You can contact me anytime if you feel so inclined. Take care, and see you soon!
